Orbital Prosthesis
An orbital prosthesis is composed of two parts and includes the artificial eye as well as eyelids to fill the defect that has been created as a result of surgery. Typically people require an orbital prosthesis as a result of cancerous tumors or trauma. These are a very complex and detailed type of prosthesis that require many visits to our office. The orbital prosthesis is typically held in place by special skin adhesive or a bone anchored magnet system. Please call our office for details and a consultation and evaluation.
